Several years ago, a group of people gathered at a very special place - Sweetwater Casino, the iconic restaurant located on the shores of the beautiful Mullica River, located deep in the Pine Barrens. These people shared a common thread: the love of the NJ Pine Barrens and a desire to share that love with others through their particular talent, whether by writing, art, sculpting, music, photography or other artistic skills. Sadly, Sweetwater Casino burned to the ground in 2008, but the group, led by It's a Sign of the Pines founder Linda Stanton, continued to grow, with more and more artisans and countless visitors in attendance at what has become a very special day each year in late winter. Today, almost over 80 participants take part in this great yearly event that has become a part of New Jersey's Pine Barrens culture.
